Changamwe clerk arrested for issuing double ballot papers

NAIROBI, Kenya Aug 8- A clerk from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has been arrested at a polling station in Changamwe constituency, Mombasa County following accusations of issuing double ballot papers to specific voters.

The clerk was arrested at the Migadini Polling Station where he was deployed and is currently held at the Changamwe Police Station.

Regional Police Boss Larry Kieng’ said that a probe are ongoing and the suspect will appear in court once thorough investigations are done.

Changamwe Constituency has eight wards and a total of 87,259 total registered voters.
