NAIROBI, Kenya, Jul 21 – Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohammed has been arrested over hate speech claims.
The vocal legislator is currently being detained at Homa Bay police station for questioning.
He was arrested at Kabunde airstrip in Homa Bay town over hate remarks he allegedly made a fortnight ago at a youth conference attended by ODM deputy party leader Hassan Joho.
This is not the first time the MP is finding himself on the spot over such claims since he was among 6 MP’s who had been arrested and charged after detention at Pangani police station last year.
