President Kenyatta, DP visit Biwott’s home to condole with family

The President, the First Lady and the DP spent close to one hour at the home of the former minister who died in a Nairobi hospital/PSCU

NAIROBI, Kenya, Jul 14 – President Uhuru Kenyatta Friday morning visited the home of former Cabinet Minister Nicholas Biwott who passed away on Tuesday.

The President, who was accompanied by First Lady Margaret Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto, visited the former minister’s home in Nairobi’s Riverside Drive to condole with his wife Hannie Biwott and the family.

The President, the First Lady and the DP spent close to one hour at the home of the former minister who died in a Nairobi hospital.

In his condolence message on Tuesday after the former minister passed away, President Kenyatta said Biwott was dedicated to uplifting the community and the country.

“He never forgot where he came from, which is why he spent decades building schools, hospitals, and every other kind of development he could. May his generosity never be forgotten,” said the President in his message.

Biwott also served as Member of Parliament Keiyo South for almost three decades.
