Mutua launches Chap Chap manifesto, announces 2022 bid

MACHAKOS, Kenya, Jul 6 – Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has declared that he will contest for the Presidency in the 2022 General Election under his Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC-P ) party ticket.

Dr Mutua announced his bid as he launched his 2017-2022 manifesto in Machakos town dubbed “Mutua Tano Tena Manifesto”.

“I have traversed all corners of this country and everywhere. Kenyans want rapid development, and because it is possible to transform this country to the first world, I have after being convinced by elders and wananchi from all over the country decided to run for the seat of the presidency come 2022” said Mutua.

In 2014, Mutua parted ways with Wiper citing ideological differences and embarked on building his new political vehicle which has since been ranked the 3rd largest party in the country in terms of candidates seeking different seats across the country.

Mutua has been touted as the fist performing governor on development platform based on speedy performance and delivery of services to the public.

In his ambitious manifesto, Mutua plans to accelerate the setting up of Machakos International Airport with special import and export zone which will provide 38,500 direct jobs by connecting the county direct to the world.

He said that over 20 investors will be breaking ground in the dream Machakos City in the next two weeks in a bid to propel the county from the third to the first world.

The youth will be the biggest beneficiaries of Mutua’s plan to roll out a higher education scholarship fund which targets every form four leaver regardless of the grade who is admitted for a certificate, diploma, higher diploma, degree, masters or PhD courses.

“My government will pay the students fees 100 per cent until completion starting August 15, 2017,” said Mutua.

In the third phase of provision of water taps in every household, Mutua plans by 2020, there will be a shower in over 300,000 homes.

Others are creation of 250,000 jobs by 2020 pegged on the new Machakos City which will see 300 factories, skyscrapers, real estates, five hospitals among others. The County Government has since signed MoU’S worth Sh2.8trillion with international investors, a project that kicks off immediately.

Men in Machakos are a happy lot as per Mutua’s manifesto which provides for bridging facility fund at a tune of Sh380 million.

The interest free bridging facility will provide monies for short term bridging undertakings to ensure that a man or single parent is able to provide for his or her family with pride and self-esteem.

The County Government of Machakos will also set up a Bank of Machakos which will provide easy to get affordable financing to the people of Machakos without heavy demands of collateral as a way of boosting economy for the county.

Others are a Sh250 million youth revolving fund, Sh20m for the people living with disabilities, sports academies, sum upgrading, bursaries kitty, feeding program for school going kids among others.
