MACHAKOS, Kenya, Jul 17 – Eight students of Kisukioni boy’s high school in Machakos County were on Monday morning arraigned in court on suspicion of planning an arson attack.
They however denied the charges and were released on a bond of Sh50,000 each by magistrate Desderias Orimba.
Speaking to Capital FM News, area OCPD James Njiiri said the students were arrested after being found with four litres of petrol in their possession.
Six are form three students while two are form four candidates.
Njiiri warned against such actions saying it puts the lives of other students in danger.
“We will not tolerate this kind of behavior. We will not bend the law on indiscipline cases in our schools,” Njiiri said when he visited the school on Monday morning.
