NAIROBI, Kenya Jun 24 – One person died after a 32-seater bus caught fire at the Globe Roundabout in Nairobi on Saturday morning.
According to the Kenya Red Cross Society, four others were injured and rushed to the Kenyatta National Hospital following the incident.
“One life lost and four others rushed to hospital after a 32-seater bus caught fire at Globe roundabout,” the Red Cross tweeted.
Fire fighters led by a team from the Nairobi County Government contained the fire in the incident that caused a major traffic snarl up at the busy roundabout.
Police said they had not established the cause of the fire which is believed to have been a result of a mechanical failure.
The wreckage was towed to Central Police station.
