NAIROBI, Kenya, Jun 11 – President Uhuru Kenyatta has received a major ‘political harvest’ in Ukambani region after two key leaders backed his re – election, citing his development record.
Kitui Senator David Musila and Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze says the region should support the President on the basis of his performance and not his political party.
The two have in the recent past have been criticising how the Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper Party is led, more so after their primaries.
The two leaders praised President Kenyatta and is deputy William Ruto for their endeavour to empower the youth, women and the disabled.
Nyenze has been a vocal supporter of the NASA Presidential running mate and was categorical that he should have been the flag bearer.
Musila on his part ditched wiper after he lost to the incumbent Governor in the Wiper primaries which he termed as shambolic.
” Whoever has eyes needs not be told to see the development President Uhuru has done, my people elect this man for his outstanding development, ” Nyenze told the electorates in Kitui.
Senator Musila on his part said “I support Nyenze. Vote for me as an independent candidate, elect President Kenyatta without minding his party.”
