Governor Mutua alleges Ndeti sabotaging garbage collection

Mutua hit out at Wiper party gubernatorial seat candidate Wavinya Ndeti for allegedly inciting garbage collectors to engage in boycotts/COURTESY

MACHAKOS, Kenya, Jun 20 – Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has said sabotage by some county workers and political opponents was to blame for the pilling garbage in key towns.

Mutua said uncollected garbage across the county was unacceptable.

“These officers have undermined the garbage collection process and they will not be spared,” warned Mutua.

He added that workers implicated in the sabotage were engaging in theft of fuel and vehicle spare parts and were vandalising garbage collection trucks.

Mutua hit out at Wiper party gubernatorial seat candidate Wavinya Ndeti for allegedly inciting garbage collectors to engage in boycotts.

“She wants to use the garbage as a political tool but she will fail miserably,” said Mutua.

He said Wavinya should brace for a bruising battle come the August polls.

“I want to tell her that by 8am I will have vanquished her,” said Mutua.
