NAIROBI, Kenya Mar 8 – Six people were on Saturday morning killed after their vehicle collided with a lorry in Ruai.
Police say the driver of the vehicle they were traveling in is admitted to hospital ater suffering serious injuries, but the lorry occupants were unhurt.
A traffic police officer who helped the victims out say the accident occurred at a junction on the Eastern by-pass, but they are yet to determine who was to blame.
The six are members of the same family who were traveling back from Kakamega where they had attended a graduation ceremony.
Statistics available at Police Headquarters show that up to 3000 people are killed annually in Kenya road accidents, while thousands more are left with injuries.
