2017 KENYA ELECTIONS

NASA’s Big Day!

On the 27th of April, 2017 we have a date with you in Uhuru Park and that day you will be told the team that will liberate Kenyans/COURTESY

NAIROBI, Kenya, Apr 27 — The Opposition’s National Super Alliance is Thursday expected to unveil its presidential candidate at a political rally set for the Nairobi Uhuru Park.

The NASA principals have been under pressure to name the flag bearer who will battle it out with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto in the August 8 General Elections.

The alliance, which last week took on a fifth principal – Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto – said that the co-principals had agreed on a power-sharing deal and would unveil it this Thursday.

“I stand before you to report progress and give you a date with destiny. On the 27th of April, 2017 we have a date with you in Uhuru Park and that day you will be told the team that will liberate Kenyans,” co-principal Moses Wetangula told NASA supporters at Bomas last week.

Ruto’s Chama Cha Mashinani joins Raila Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement, Musalia Mudavadi’s Amani National Congress, Moses Wetangula’s Forum for Restoration of Democracy – Kenya and Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper Democratic Movement.
