, NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 15 — Operations in public hospitals across the country are slowly resuming as patients have started streaming to the institutions following the calling off the doctors’ strike.

Nairobi County Health Executive Bernard Muiya has told Capital newsbeat that there is 100 percent turn up of doctors at the Pumwani Maternity, Mama lucy and Mbagathi hospitals.

In Mombasa, at least 70 percent of doctors have resumed duty according to acting county health executive Binty Omar.

The situation in the same in Kisumu where Patients are streaming to public hospitals as Doctors resume duties.

Doctors ended their 100-day strike yesterday after signing a return to work formula that will pave way for further negotiations for their pay hike demands.
