Doctors’ strike mediators back in court as health crisis deepens

The Inter Religious Forum will be updating the Appeals Court even as the government maintained that it will not be involved in any further negotiations until the doctors get back to work/FILE

NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 13 – Mediators in the doctors strike crisis are expected back in court Monday morning to give an update of their talks with the government and union officials.

The Inter Religious Forum will be updating the Appeals Court even as the government maintained that it will not be involved in any further negotiations until the doctors get back to work.

Capital FM News beat has also established that contrary to Health Ministry reports that a significant number of doctors are back in hospitals, the crisis is worsening by the day.

The Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union Secretary General Ouma Oluga maintains that the strike is on as they await the outcome of the mediation process, even as President Uhuru Kenyatta warned of mass dismissals if they don’t heed his call.
