Rongai matatu set ablaze by irate boda boda riders for knocking child dead

NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 4 — A Rongai matatu was on Saturday afternoon burnt down by boda boda operators for hitting and killing a child cycling along  Lang’ata Road.

Police in the area have confirmed the incident and investigations have been launched to establish the circumstances that led to the accident.

Lang’ata Police boss Elijah Mwangi has however cautioned members of the public against taking the law into their hands.

No arrest has been made so far though police are pursuing the driver of the mini-bus.
