LSK President Isaack Okero says he has spoken to Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet and urged him to facilitate the safe return of the missing lawyer/FILE

NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 12 – The Law Society of Kenya now wants the police to carry out thorough investigations and locate missing lawyer Simon Lilan who had wanted to block the burial of former nominated MP Mark Too.

LSK President Isaack Okero says he has spoken to Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet and urged him to facilitate the safe return of the missing lawyer.

Lilan went missing on Monday and his family says their efforts to trace his whereabouts have borne no fruits.

“The LSK has been in communication with his family from whom we have learnt that Mr Lilan was last seen on the 9th January, 2016 on which date he called me at 17:52hrs after calling and speaking to the Chair, LSK North Rift branch between 17:32hrs and 17:37hrs of the same date,” he said in a statement.

Lilan is a relative to the late Too besides having acted for him on legal matters.
