NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 12 – A mother and her 12-year-old son, Benjamin are locked up at a hospital in India after failing to clear their bill.

They flew to India last November to undergo an operation to remove a growth on Benjamin’s knee.

But after the operation in November, they have since been locked at the hospital over the unpaid bills.

Capital FM News highlighted the story but unfortunately, the family did not manage to raise the money required.

The hospital however, agreed to treat them in the hope they would raise the money since the surgery was urgent.

His mother on Thursday urged and appealed to well-wishers to come to their aid so that they could be released to return home.

“We are locked up in India because of a hospital bill amounting to Sh2.4 million. We are unable to settle the bill for my son who has cancer. I kindly request for your assistance, thank and May God bless you,” she pleaded.
