, NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 1 – Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i was scheduled to release the 2016 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination results Thursday.
A statement from the ministry said the results would be made public from 11.30am.
“The event will take place at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) on Murang’a Road Nairobi.”
It will be the first time the results are released at the beginning of December, under new reforms at the Education Ministry.
The release of the primary school examination results come a day after secondary school candidates completed their KCSE examinations.
A statement from State House said President Uhuru Kenyatta was, briefed on the 2016 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results by CS Matiang’i ahead of the release of the results.
“The Education Cabinet Secretary was accompanied by Kenya National Examination Council Chairman Prof George Magoha, Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang, Teachers Service Commission Chief Executive Officer Nancy Macharia and Mercy Karogo of the Kenya National Examination Council,” the statement said.
