, NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 7 – Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has lost a case challenging Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu’s academic qualifications.

While giving a ruling on the case, High Court judge Justice Joseph Onguto concurred with arguments put forward by the Kabete legislator’s legal counsel Harrison Kinyanjui that it has no jurisdiction to determine the matter.

Consequently, a suit questioning Waititu’s academic degree from Punjab University in India was dismissed.

According to Justice Onguto, the EACC has been tasked to investigate issues of integrity and leadership raised by Kabogo, hence any determination by the court on the same would amount to interference with their mandate.
