NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 16 – At least four passengers have died after a bus travelling from Nairobi to Mombasa plunged into a valley in Mazeras next to Bonje area in Kilifi.
Coast Traffic Commandant Emmanuel Okanda said efforts were ongoing Friday morning to rescue some of the passengers still trapped in the wreckage.
More than 20 other passengers were rushed to hospital following the accident at the black spot.
He says investigations have been launched even as he described Bonje as a black spot situated along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.
According to a witness, the bus veered off the road at around 6am.
