NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 21 – A special court session in honour of the late, former Chief Justice Abdul Majid Cockar was held at the Supreme Court on Monday.
The session presided over by Chief Justice David Maraga came exactly three weeks after the 93-year-old succumbed to age-related complications.
Those present at the special sitting included the heads of various divisions, Attorney General Githu Muigai, the President of the Law Society of Kenya Isaac Okero and several Senior Counsel.
Cockar chronicled his life in the justice system in an autobiography titled Doings, Non-doings and Mis-doings of Kenyan Justices published in 2012.
