NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 21 – The Serbian Ambassador to Kenya Ivan Zivkovic has died.

According to his Personal Assistant Simon Sila, the 69 year old envoy developed breathing problems and a fever on Sunday afternoon before being rushed to the Aga Khan Hospital where he succumbed.

“When he came in yesterday, he was quite well. However, in the afternoon, he developed breathing problems and as the day progressed, it became worse,” he stated.

Sila told Capital FM News that Zivkovic succumbed to his condition at around 9.00 pm while he was receiving treatment at the hospital.

“The Ambassador suffered from bronchitis and when his condition worsened, he was rushed to the Aga Khan Hospital and unfortunately, he succumbed,” he stated.

He indicated that the Embassy is now awaiting communication from the Foreign Affairs Ministry on where to transfer his body.
