Kangemi traders left with bitter ash taste of perennial market fires

The fire started at 3am/ JEREMIAH WAKAYA

NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 3 — Traders at the Kangemi Market are counting losses after fire razed down their products.

Property of unknown value has been destroyed at the highly populated market located along Waiyaki way.

The cause of the fire is yet to be established according to Police.

The fire started at about 3 am.

A section of a slum next to the market was also affected.
