NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 6 – The United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS goodwill ambassador Victoria Beckham on Thursday visited Kiambu County, to get a firsthand experience on the success of the First Lady Margaret Kenyatta-driven Beyond Zero campaign.
Beckham was received by Governor William Kabogo’s wife Philomena Kabogo in Limuru.
Her visit comes a period when the infant and maternal mortality rate in the area and the entire country has drastically reduced with the program taking root.
All the 47 Counties have received a mobile clinic paving way for construction of a maternal hospital in the next phase of the campaign.
