NAIROBI, Kenya, October 24- A matatu driver accused of being part of a gang that has been drugging and stealing from passengers in public service vehicles has been detained at Kilimani police station for 10 days to allow further investigations.
The court has ordered Patrick Kinyanjui Thuku to be detained as detectives probe the claims leveled against him.
He was arrested on Sunday after a lady managed to escape unhurt from one of the vehicles after the driver allegedly attempted to inject her with sedatives.
She lost some of her belongings including one of her phones.
