, MOMBASA, Kenya, Sep 8 – Police have allowed the Orange Democratic Movement to hold its 10th anniversary this Saturday in Mombasa.
County Commissioner Evans Achoki says they have received notification for the event to be held along Mama Ngina Drive.
Achoki says they will deploy adequate police to ensure the celebration goes on as planned without any interference.
ODM Deputy Party Leader Hassan Joho already flagged off the 47 buses to all counties ahead of its 10th anniversary celebration in Mombasa.
Joho says the branded buses have been dispatched to various counties to provide transport to party delegates.
Joho says several leaders from different partes are also expected to defect to CORD.
CORD leader Raila Odinga is expected in Mombasa on Friday where a series of road shows will be held ahead of ODM’s major declaration on Saturday.
