Even after 10 years, ‘Raila tosha’ ODM declares in Mombasa

NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 10 – The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) on Saturday, at its 10 year anniversary celebrations in Mombasa, declared that Raila Odinga remains its Presidential flag bearer in readiness for the 2017 general election.

ODM Deputy Party Leader and Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho gave the endorsement castigating those of its elected leaders who had abandoned ship for the Jubilee Party which celebrated also celebrated its launch on Saturday.

“The only person, who is able to fight and win against our opponents is Raila Amolo Odinga,” he stated.

The party has vowed to retain their seats and clinch the Presidency come 2017 despite losing some of their Members to Jubilee Party.

Some of those who have defected from the Orange Democratic Movement included Tigania East MP Mpuri Aburi, Mathare MP Stephen Kariuki, Laisamis MP Joseph Lekuton, Lunga Lunga MP Khatib Mwashetani, Kilifi South MP Mustafa Idd and Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung’aro.

“We have what it takes to take on Jubilee,” the ODM party leader said at Saturday’s celebration.
