NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug 11- Police in Kilimani on Thursday killed two wanted thugs, who were who were terrorizing members of the public.
Two pistols were recovered and other assorted items, among them four phones and a laptop.
According to a senior officer in the area, one of the pistols was stolen from a lawyer in Kikuyu last week, who has since identified it.
The incident occurred along Muringa Road, where the two had attacked several people before police were alerted.
Police are now calling on the public to cooperate when attacked by such armed thugs and immediately report to police for swift action to be taken.
The two are members of a gang operating along Waiyaki Way but detectives have warned “we will soon catch up. We know them.”
In a bid to avoid arrest, police says the thugs are now throwing away SIM cards of the phones they have stolen, “but that will not deter us from trailing them.”
