– Why was it set up –
The idea of starting a school for police officers’ children was conceived in the early 1960s; however it was until 1991 when the Commissioner of Police the late Philip Kilonzo began implementing it.
According to Owino, police officers needed such a school, “since we keep on moving across all parts of the country.”
The school has 1,300 students and about 50 teachers.
