House committee wants anti-IEBC petition dismissed

The sitting saw Commissioner Yusuf Nzibo hold back tears as he narrated his agony over the allegations.

The commissioners said they were willing to face a tribunal to clear their names over alleged incompetence and lack of integrity, should the committee confirm the allegations by the petitioner.

Hassan said Nyukuri’s claims lacked merit and tangible grounds.

He said the petition apportions collective allegations to commissioners, which is illegal.
