The religious leaders from different faiths informed the joint House team that they had convened a two-day multi-sectoral forum that would provide a chance for Kenyans to contribute to the electoral reforms process.
Orengo and Kiraitu said they will honour an invitation to attend forum slated for Tuesday and Wednesday, where more than 300 delegates from the religious organizations, civil society organizations, trade unions, women, youth and person with disabilities organizations, business community and political leadership have been invited.
“The participants will from their discussions recommend legal, policy and institutional reforms to strengthen the IEBC and improve the electoral system and processes. These agreements will be submitted to the JPSC by the participating institutions as a joint memorandum for your consideration,” Bishop Rotich stated in his presentation before the Committee.
