NAIROBI, Kenya, Jun 16 – Outgoing Chief Justice Willy Mutunga was on Thursday expected to receive reports from five Judiciary Committees at the Supreme Court on the day he is set to retire.
He will receive the Performance Contracting Report which details the manner in which performance contracting will be implemented in the Judiciary.
The institutionalization of performance contracting is expected to improve the overall quality of Judiciary outcomes through increased efficiency, better decision-making, needs-based resource targeting, increased public confidence and accountability.
The report on the Taskforce on Children’s Matters together with the one on Alternative Justice Systems will also be handed over to him.
The outcome of the initiative on children matters was expected to create an enabling and sustainable environment for children who come into contact with the law.
