NAIROBI, Kenya, Jun 23 – Police in Buruburu have arrested four people and recovered Sh400,000 from them in a plot to murder an employee of the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) in Nairobi.
This was after the employee identified as Muraya Mwangi reported that his ex-wife had conspired with the suspects to kill him.
Buruburu DCIO, Jeremiah Ikiao stated that those arrested include the woman, her sister and two men.
“We received a report that there was a plot to kill this man and after an investigation, we nabbed a woman together with her sister and two men,” he explained.
He pointed out that police also recovered six mobile phones from the two men who were using them in planning the mission.
He stated that the money had been paid to the men as part of the cash to finish the mission.
The suspects were due to be produced in court Thursday to face charges conspiring to commit murder.
