Mutua also hosted retired military and police officers from across Ukambani and thanked them for their selfless service to the nation.
He said the retired officers should play their roles in their society adding that they skills and experience that are still relevant.
“You are an inspiration to many people and your service to the nation was not in vain,” said Mutua.
The youthful Machakos Governor also hosted over 450 former councillors from Ukambani whom he also lauded for their contribution in politics.
He said the former councillors should be rewarded for their service to the nation saying their demands for a retirement package for the years served were valid.
“The former councillors should be appreciated and I personally honour and respect them for supporting me,” said Mutua.
