He hit out at critics of Mutua whom he said had nothing to show for their positions which they were holding.
“Some were in senior government positions for over 20 years and did nothing tangible for their people. They should just shut up and let Mutua do his job,” said Kiiti.
He said it was saddening for youths to join the protests and end up dead.
“It is not good for one’s son to join a demonstration and later be brought home in a coffin,” said Kiiti.
The veterans acknowledged the strides that Mutua has achieved in terms of development for the county and pledged to support his re-election come 2017.
