Shollei faces EACC detectives over ‘chickengate’ scandal

EACC officials say detectives are keen to know from her if she played any role in the rip-off that occurred when she served as the Chief Electoral Officer at the Interim Independent Electoral Commission/FILE

NAIROBI, Kenya, March 10 – Former Judiciary Chief Registrar Gladys Boss Shollei was Thursday questioned by detectives at the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission over the Chickengate scandal.

EACC officials say detectives are keen to know from her if she played any role in the rip-off that occurred when she served as the Chief Electoral Officer at the Interim Independent Electoral Commission.

Several other officials of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission-including Chairman Isaack Hassan have been questioned as the commission race against time to send the file to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
