Officer accused in gang rape of 19yr-old turns guns on senior

However, he did not state the events of April 12 but instead wrote a statement about April 11 saying nothing peculiar took place when he was on duty that night.

“I can very well remember on Wednesday 11, April, 2012 I reported on duty at the District Officer’s office at 6.00PM. I finished that night duty without any problem or incident. That is all what I can state on that particular day,” he wrote on his statement to the police.

In her statement on May 9, 2012, Daisy said she was on her way home when she was summoned to the Embu Provincial offices by two officers who later raped her several times and pierced her caesarean wound.

In February this year, Daisy narrated her harrowing story to Capital FM News following a series of alleged attacks and gang-rape ordeals allegedly by Ouma, and Ahmed sometimes in the company of others.

A medical report from Nairobi Women’s Hospital on May 31, 2012 showed that Daisy was sexually assaulted, physically assaulted with multi soft tissue injuries.

Various government agencies and Non-Governmental Organisations have since then taken the matter and offered Daisy temporary protection.

Preliminary assessment following fresh attacks this year show that Daisy’s situation requires attention and thorough investigations.

“Currently, the complainant is in hospital nursing serious wounds. Those injuries are real; … visited her in hospital and confirmed that she had serious stab wound injuries.” The matter must be investigated thoroughly by IPOA since the suspects are police officers and they are the same people who allegedly gang-raped her in Embu,” one of the agencies handling the matter advised.
