Muchiri was charged with causing grievous harm to Juster Kawira on February 1, at their house in Langata.
In the video, Kawira who was four months pregnant was seen being dragged inside a house only to come out later covered in blood.
Speaking at a hospital in Langata where she had been admitted after the attack, she alleged that her husband stabbed her on the face after a thorough beating.
The court will on Friday decide if Muchiri will be freed on bail after the prosecution told the court that he is a flight risk who can easily injure the complainant.
Kawira’s case attracted attention after social media users circulated the video.
She recalled a previous incident in January 2014, when he allegedly stabbed her in the stomach killing their unborn child.
