NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 25 – The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) will on Thursday conduct countrywide elections for officials vying for various posts.

The polls to be overseen by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission will be held from 8.30am to 5pm at 25 Court premises that will serve as polling centres.

A total of 69 candidates are contesting for 26 positions which include LSK President, LSK Vice-President, LSK Female Representative to JSC and LSK Council Members.

The top post of LSK President has attracted three aspirants, Aggrey Mwamu and Isaac Okero, who practice in Kisumu, and Nairobi-based Allen Gichuhi.

Other posts to be contested include the LSK Council (Nairobi Representatives), LSK Council (Upcountry Representatives), LSK Council (Coast Representative), Advocates Disciplinary Tribunal as well the Chairperson and Council Members for the LSK Nairobi Branch.
