Businessman Mike Njeru who Kiplagat has accused of being Kidero’s agent in the alleged bribery scheme also appeared before the committee on Tuesday and through his lawyer Andrew Musengi, denied any part in the alleged saga.
Although he did admit to being acquainted with Kiplagat and to being, “very good friends,” with Kidero on account of their political affiliation.
The chair of the six member committee carrying out the investigations, Margaret Kobia, on Monday expressed confidence that they would conclude their investigations into the Sh200 million bribery saga in time to make their conclusions known to the wider JSC on Wednesday.
Tunoi who has challenged his retirement at 70 and gives this as the reason for his most recent woes, risks being removed from office should the JSC recommend the formation of a tribunal to investigate him to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
