NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 19 – Police are looking for two thugs who fled from Madaraka Estate after a musician grabbed two firearms from them during a robbery on Thursday night.

The artiste popularly known as Calvo Mistari was with other artistes, including Naomi Wamboe when the gunmen stormed the recording house and ordered them to lie down.

But while searching them for valuables, they heard a knock on the door and panicked before the brave musician took the opportunity and grabbed the guns from them.

Police in Lang’ata say they have taken statements from the artistes and other people who were in the house, as they intensify the search for the criminals.

But curiously, one of the thugs has been using a mobile phone taken from one of the occupants to call her friends, while asking them to ensure the guns are returned back to them.

“It was a terrifying moment for us, I thank God we are alive today,” Wamboe told Capital FM News, “Were it not for the guy who knocked the door and distracted them, I don’t know what could have happened next.”
