Kibe was however not in court to answer to the charges.
His lawyer Cliff Ombetta told the court that Kibe has been given three days bed rest since he was injured in the Tuesday morning accident.
Ombetta says Kibe who is out on a Sh70,000 cash bail suffered two broken ribs in the accident.
“I went to his home last night and obtained documents from his doctor advising him to rest for at least three days,” Ombetta said.
Kibe has been directed to appear in court on February 9 to answer to the charges.
According to the lawyer, Kibe is to be charged with driving carelessly causing injuries, causing death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.
