MOMBASA, Kenya, Jan 8 – Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua has taken his campaign of the Maendeleo Chap Chap movement to the Coast in a two-day tour.

Mutua opened the movement’s office in Taita Taveta and held public rallies in Njia and Taveta towns.

Mutua said there was need to change the style of doing politics if development is to be accelerated.

“Our roads take up to seven years to build while in developed countries a similar road takes only a year,” said Mutua.

He reiterated that development delayed is an abuse of the people’s human rights.

Mutua also met Taita Taveta Governor John Mruttu at Wundanyi where they discussed issues affecting the two counties.

Mutua has also opened a coordinating office for the movement in Nairobi.

Later on Friday, Mutua opened the movements Coast coordinating office in Mombasa at Changamwe.
