NAIROBI, Kenya Nov 6 – Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko escaped unhurt Friday morning after a truck rammed into his car along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.

Sonko said the accident happened as his entourage had stopped to fuel at a petrol station in Athi River.

According to the Senator, the truck seemed to be entering the petrol station before rammed into his vehicle, badly damaging the front part of the SUV.

He posted about the accident on Facebook, with a photograph showing the accident scene and visibly shocked Sonko can be seen accessing the damage of his car.

Speeding by motorists using the major highway has been blamed for the country’s frequent road accidents.
