Kenya ASP agenda items to be debated Friday

On the other hand, the prosecution has repeatedly complained that its witnesses have been interfered with.

To corroborate its allegation, the prosecution has named three Kenyans for alleged interference with witnesses and the court has so far issued arrest warrants against them.

The ASP plenary, by having the two Kenyan issues on the agenda for the 14th session failed to take into account a letter written by ICC President Silvia Fernandez de Gurmendi, ICC Registrar Herman Von Hebel and Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda on Monday warning the ASP against discussing active cases.

On Monday, the three court officials asked the ASP not to discuss matters touching on the Kenyan case arguing that discussions on active cases would interfere with the running of the court.
