Ruto spoke during at AIC Church Mosoriot,Nandi County

NANDI, Kenya, Oct 4 – Deputy President William Ruto has urged all public servants to respect constitutional commissions created under the constitution of Kenya.

The Deputy President said it was the responsibility of all workers to respect all the Commissions citing the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) and human rights bodies.

“The constitution has set the SRC to determine salaries for all workers of the government of Kenya from the President to the messenger,” he said.

Ruto who spoke during at AIC Church Mosoriot,Nandi County said all workers are paid according to their job, responsibilities and qualifications.

“We must respect the rule of law, we must respect all constitutional bodies given powers by the Constitution,” the DP said.

Ruto noted that it was the responsibility of all Kenyan to respect the decisions made by the court of law to enable the country run under constitutional pillars.

The Deputy President said the harmonisation of salaries will unite all workers and avoid confrontation.

He added that all persons with equal qualifications and responsibilities in different sectors must be paid the same.

Ruto was accompanied by Governors Alex Torgos of ElgeyoMarakwet, Jackson Mandago of Uasin Gichu, Chesumei MP Elijah Langat, Nandi County Woman Representative Zipporah Kering and Nandi Deputy Governor Dominic Biwott.

Kering said the motion to impeach the president and Cabinet Secretay Ann Waiguru was ill intended by the movers as there was no support from the Kenyan electorate.

Governor Torgos praised the Jubilee government on delivery of services noting that the North Rift region was proud to be fully represented in government.
