MPs challenge Cord to declare stand on ICC

“We should unite as a nation and pray for the collapse of the cases facing our brothers at the ICC,” said Bishop Salala.

The Deputy President who avoided the issue of ICC assured that the Government would serve all Kenyans equally.

He said it was the responsibility of the Government to serve all Kenyans irrespective of how they voted during the last general election.

“There are no Kenyans in the Opposition and others in the Government. We all have a right to be served by the Government whether we voted for it or not,” said Ruto.

“We will make sure that every corner of this country is attended to by the Government because it is part of Kenya.”

The Deputy President said the Government supports devolution of the health sector as contained in the Constitution.

“Constitution is clear that the management of health facilities should be under the county governments and we fully support this,” said Ruto.

In a move to ensuring essential health services were provided to the people, Ruto said the Government’s plan to establish two referral hospitals of level four and five in every county was being implemented.

“In this Kakamega County for example, Sh725million has been allocated to Kakamega hospital and another Sh380million has been allocated to Malava hospital to upgrade them and provide ICU, dialysis, radiology facilities among others,” said Ruto.
