In a statement, KNBS says the exercise under the theme, ‘Measuring Well Being for Sustainable Development,’ will seek to address data gaps necessary for monitoring government initiatives.
The survey will also enable the government to make informed decisions when planning for development initiatives and national and county levels.
“KIHBS is the first survey on household to be conducted under the devolved system of government. KNBS wish to inform the public that collection of data countrywide for the survey will commence on September 1, 2015,” the statement said.
All Kenyans are being urged to cooperate and provide accurate information.
“All Kenyans in the cluster sample are being urged to cooperate with the team that will be conducting the survey and to provide them with the information they need. Information collected will be treated and stored confidentially at KNBS as assured by the Statistics Act, 2006,” it stated.
