NAIROBI, Kenya Jul 25 – US President Barack Obama on Friday night had a re-union dinner with close members of his Kenyan family on arrival in Nairobi for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) which was he was scheduled to open on Saturday.
The private dinner was held at a five star hotel in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi attended by his only surviving grandmother Mama Sarah Obama and step sister Dr Auma Obama who had earlier received him at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
A few other family members were present at the dinner.
Photographs released during the dinner shows Obama seated between Mama Sarah and Dr Auma with whom he chatted freely during the exclusive dinner.
Dr Auma had travelled with him on the Beast from the airport after a heartily hug during introductions done by President Uhuru Kenyatta soon after Air Force One touched down at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
