Mohammed said the scheme to remove Tobiko had already been hatched since he had chosen to go against his ‘seniors’ advice over who should be charged and who should not.
They complained that the form of selective justice being propagated was setting a dangerous precedence the fight against corruption.
“This is a choreographed scheme to remove the DPP from office; they started with the EACC commissioners now they are going for the neck of the DPP. We will not allow the independent institutions of this country to be dismantled and cannibalized for the purposes of achieving certain goals,” said Mohammed.

So far only Kamau has been prosecuted while several others implicated in corruption scams have been cleared.
They include, Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko, Agriculture CS Felix Koskei, Energy CS Davis Chirchir and Narok Governor Samuel ole Tunai and Siaya Senator James Orengo.
