NANDI, Kenya Mar 7 – Three pupils were burnt to death at Labuywo academy in Nandi county when fire razed their dormitory early Saturday morning.

95 boys were in the dormitory when the fire broke out, burning three to death.

Dozens others who escaped with injuries in the 1 am inferno are being treated in nearby hospitals while others have been discharged.

Nandi county deputy governor Dominic Biwot has urged parents anyone else affected to give police time to investigate the cause of the inferno.

“Police are doing their best to establish the cause of this fire,” Biwott said, when he visited the school to condole affected families.

Property of unknown value, including the pupils beddings were destroyed during the fire incident.
