NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 5 – President Uhuru Kenyatta will Friday sign an agreement for an elaborate plan to equip hospitals in all the 47 counties across the country as part of the government’s efforts to take services closer to the people.

State House says the agreement to equip two hospitals each in every county with state of the art facilities, will enable provision of healthcare which is currently a preserve of government referral hospitals and private institutions.

Under the plan, the government will provide labs, Intensive Care Units, dialysis centers, theatres, and cancer diagnostic centers in some 94 hospitals.
